From the very beginning, it has been important that all work should take place in fair and orderly terms and that the workers should be paid a decent salary for their work. Therefore, it was with great pleasure our manufacturer was certified by the World Fair Trade Organization. Over the years, We have also provided financial support for an orphanage in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, as well as to workers and their families.

Hand-made with love
Grült slippers are manufactured in Nepal and are 100% handmade. The raw wool is dyed with environmentally friendly colors. Then the wool is mapped, and the work on the shape of the shoe can begin. The carded wool is formed. Seawater masks into the wool, causing the small fibers in the wool to cling. The wet felt shoe is then dried under the sun. Then add another insole of felt so the shoe becomes extra comfortable and comfortable. The outer suede of suede is finally sewn.
To make a slippers takes time and requires skills. One worker can produce 2 pairs of shoes a day.

Sheep’s wool is the perfect material for making slippers. Wool is a natural product with great insulating properties. It allows the feet to breathe, and the slipper never feel too hot or too cold. Wool can absorb up to 30% moisture without feeling wet, and without losing its insulating property. Moreover, natural wool contains lanolin,which makes the wool resistant to dirt, moisture and grime, and also reduces odours. When you start to use your Grült slipper, they take on the form of your individual foot.
Care instruction
Vacuum your slippers to remove dust. Can then also be washed in wool soap by hand. Machine wash is not recommended. After the shoe is washed, put the wet shoe on the foot so that it takes shape again after the foot. Then remove the shoe and put to dryness.
